Leaf Cookies

Lolly Pop Leaf Cookies

You Make these just the same as a normal sugar cookie, although before you bake insert a Lolly Pop Stick. You can find the sticks at Michael's next to the cake section!

After there decorated and dried I put them in clear bags and tied with an orange ribbon!

Here's my first Cookie Arrangement!

I added a Thankful For Tag.....

A few cookies lost there stick so they became just plain ol' cookies!

I really enjoyed making these now if I can keep my kids out of them in til Thanksgiving!

Enjoy!

Macks Final Phase

Here's a few last pictures of the completed project! I Love how everything came together, there were a lot of small details that are very important to me as well as Mack!
I hope she has many sweet dreams in her new room!

I found these shelves at Ikea 29.99 a piece, they come in an variety of colors... Although Travis had an interesting time hanging them. Ikea is famous for not adding all the needed parts, so after a quick trip to Home Depot they were complete!  The shelves hold all of her most prized possessions Trophy's, newly painted gumball machine and a few favorite books!
I've had these frames for months, they were one of those purchases you don't really have a place for but at some point you just know you will!  I'm delighted to see them put to use in her room...Of course they got a fresh coat of paint, and were backed with vinyl wall decal that doubles as a chalk board! I found the chalk board decal off of ebay very easy to work with!

All of her furniture was fairly new and in good shape so we made few minor changes in the knobs.
I loved this glass knob for her desk drawer!
Travis hung her letters man does she have a long name!!!
Final Product - Notice the New Curtains!

Side View of Shelves and Frames!
Her dresser knobs were also changed out to the theme of her bedding all fun colors and designs!!!

I know this room is going to grow with her and as it does I'm sure minor things will change, chalk boards will be replaced with prom pictures and gumball machines will be removed.  However I know there will be many things that will grow with her over time. I hope she enjoys it for many, many years to come!

The "Thanksgiving" Table

Here's The Before
I found a few items I knew I had to use, one of which was a large roll of burlap purchased at my local hardware store $18.99!  Really would recommend you get some!!!
I used a wooden crate filled it with wheat, sunflowers and fall leaves, I placed an orange runner organza type fabric under the crate to give it more color.  Everything is 60 % off right now at Michael's, made it easy to find a few nice silk pieces to add to the arrangement!
I have a Plate that was given to me as a hostess gift, I started hosting Thanksgiving in our first tiny condo everyone was elbow to elbow but it was a great day!  Even though I have a much larger table and home now I like to remind myself where it all started.
On Thanksgiving that plate will be filled with cookies and treats but for now it's an easy way to use what you have!

 The Burlap Madness Continues
It even Made it outside!  Really got my moneys worth, I still have a huge bolt left!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Wall Art -

I was looking on a few other sites this week and came across this awesome Thanksgiving Wall Art : They all have these great sayings, I instantly thought of the perfect stop in my house for them!  The best part is, there FREE. Craftily Ever After offers free printable downloads Go Check Her out!  Great Blog and Great Print ables!!! http://craftily-ever-after.blogspot.com/2010/10/keep-calm-and-cranberry-on-printable.html

1. I could of used a mix of frames I already had, but I wanted a more uniform look, Plus I wanted a heavy matte. I found these at Michael's for 4.99 Score!

2. Here's the images I choose to use I printed them off on plain ol' printer paper!

3. Tip: I use electrical tape to adhere the images to the back of the mat, it allows you to remove and replace if need be, also its easy clean up so you can re-use the images next year!
4. Next I got a few nails, hammer and a measuring tape. (Something I would much rather have the hubby do)
I decide to hang them in a straight line, I know it's not a very special arrangement but I love it!

Now Go Download and Print - Hang one by your front door, use them in your dining room.  Great Hostess Gift if your spending Thanksgiving with someone your especially thankful for!

Enjoy!

Give Thanks

I got these adorable Letters last year for my birthday I was so excited to use them this year! I have a pretty large area above our TV hutch cabinet, I try to always have something on top of it!

I used assorted leaves and three different wheat bushels!

I have a tiny pass through in our seating area to the living room I found this wood container at a second hand store last week, I'm planning on getting a few more pumpkins or gourds to fill it up!

HINT : You can't see but I used a clay pot turned it up side down to give the pumpkins some height covered it with raffia and your good to go!

Fall It Is...

Even though I was so tried from this weekends activities I was so anxious to get the Halloween Stuff down and put up the fall decor... After going into Pottery Barn a few weekends ago my head has been spinning with ideas. I tried something totally different this year... Not sure if it's quite finished yet still could add a few things but over all am really happy with the outcome!

I took the Birch branches I used for Halloween, put them into a different container and hung Mason Jars on them filled with tea lights. I can almost guarantee you have Mason Jars around the house from old jam/jelly!
Here's the container I used, I filled it with raffia and rocks for some weight!

Happy Fall - I'll continue to share my progress...
